PRIVATE CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT - BURITACA, CO
This magical spot on the Caribbean Sea will be completely private and exclusive to Ambu. Accommodations are beachy, eco-chic bungalows. Each space is different, fun, earthy, and comfortable. All feature a private bathroom with towels and bath products, outdoor shower, fans, down pillows, and lush sheets.
The resort respects the rich natural environment of the Sierra Nevadas and is committed to a low-energy consumption lifestyle. To maintain this, there is no A/C in the rooms. Each bungalow is inspired by the indigenous of the area and utilize their distinctive palm roof design for maximum climate control, shade and comfort. Beach resort amenities include private beach, yoga shala, swimming pool, poolside restaurant, beachfront spa and wellness center, and lounge areas.

We’ll end the trip with 1 night in Caribe cool Santa Marta. Modern and comfy accommodations in an international hotel. Great location with beautiful views of the Bay of Santa Marta. Perfect for exploring the city’s historic center and authentic, laid-back Costeño culture.

We’ll fly together as a group from Miami (MIA) to Santa Marta (SMR). Traveling together will be easy and fun, and the best way to kick off the retreat.
Return flights are also a snap. Copa Airlines offers convenient and comfortable flights from Santa Marta to most major American airports. We’ll provide details on which flights to reserve after booking your retreat. Average flight costs (round trip): $600.
MIAMI STAY
The flight to Colombia leaves early Sunday, 4/21. So we recommend staying near the MIA airport on Saturday, 4/20. In the past, our group has stayed at the EB Hotel Miami. www.ebhotels.com/miami

Known for her playful and inviting teaching style, Yali has a life-long passion for movement and health. Through her transformative wellness retreats to Colombia, Yali inspires others to embrace a more mindful lifestyle, and a deeper connection to nature.

TELL US ABOUT SACRED SIERRA WOMAN’S RENEWAL.
YALI: My students often tell me they feel overwhelmed by the pace of life these days. That they desperately want to relax more, and need a break from their busy daily life. They would love to slow down and take a rest, but don’t feel they have the time or don’t even know where to begin. This became the inspiration for creating the Sacred Sierra Woman’s Renewal.
This journey will be transformational and create the space for rest, rejuvenation, and letting go of anxiety. The program has many different components to it including movement, wellness, culture and adventure. It’s going to be so much fun with an amazing and inspiring group.
TELL US ABOUT COLOMBIA.
YALI: Colombia is such a charming and colorful place. The heart of our retreat happens at our own private beach resort near the town of Buritaca where ‘the river meets the sea’. It’s one of the most spectacular areas of Colombia named the Heart of the World by the indigenous there. La Sierra (how we say it locally) is the highest coastal peak in the world. We’ll be spending our time on the beach but within this spectacular multi-layer ecosystem that starts from the top of the mountain. It will be a magical place to unplug and reconnect with yourself.
Our last night will be spent in Santa Marta, my hometown. It has a very cool and laid-back coastal culture, and an energy that is undeniable from the mountains nearby. It’s lots of fun with great local restaurants and Caribe nightlife. This will be an amazing opportunity to see so much of what Colombia has to offer.
WHAT WILL THE PROGRAM BE LIKE?
YALI: We’ve prepared a fully-immersive program that includes meditation, movement, yoga, hiking, rituals, good food, music, self-care, and much more. It’s all about feeling connected to the Earth, feeling good about yourself, and unplugging from regular life. It’s about being well-nourished by delicious, healthy, locally-grown foods, and feeling great. You’ll find time to relax and time on your own. Everything will flow together.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE THE STUDENTS WILL GET OUT OF THE RETREAT?
YALI: The retreat is going to have a lot of intention and love. Each guest will have their own personal transformational trip. Everyone will leave feeling energized and new again. All while deeping their connection to our beautiful Earth.

All meals are included beginning with arrival welcome meal, and ending with lunch on the day of departure. Colombian food is fresh and delicious. There will be lots of yummy things to eat and drink throughout the retreat.
Santa Marta
We will explore local eats and the best of costeño food. There will be plant-based options to enjoy, as well as popular seafood and meat dishes.
Beach Resort
As part of the retreat program, we will offer an exclusively plant-based and pescatarian menu while at Gitana Beach Resort. Their kitchen combines healthy ingredients together in a coastal themed, fusion-style menu with Colombian, Latin and Asian flavors. Most ingredients are locally sourced, including fruit, veggies and herbs from Gitana’s own gardens.

The Ambu retreat program is specially designed to take you out of your everyday routine and offer you the space to unplug, relax, explore, and feel great. The lush tropical ambiance of our own private beach resort and the gentle sounds of the Caribbean sea will naturally reset your mind and body.
There will be plenty of daily yoga, fitness, restorative and meditation classes to enjoy. Classes are optional. You’re welcome to do it all.

A valid Passport from your country of citizenship is required for entry to Colombia. Your passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after your travel dates to enter. It’s important to check the expiration date on your passport. Renewing your passport can take up to 12 weeks for processing.

Everyone will have the option to enjoy drinks on the last night of the retreat. However, our time at the beach resort will be alcohol-free.

This retreat is designed for a group of 10-20 participants, with a maximum of 24.
