In addition to our year-round team, we are very lucky to host a number of talented seasonal teachers throughout the year, who join our community for a few months at a time and infuse our studio with a variety of backgrounds and unique teaching styles. Together, we are grateful to have the opportunity to serve the island's loving residents and visitors with the following class offerings:

Studio Classes

Cultivate breath, playfulness, and conscious movement in your body.

Please note that not every class is offered year-round. Our current schedule is available here.

Ambu Flow

Some yoga experience is recommended.
Allow your body to unfold as you transition from stillness to movement, invigorating the mind and body. In this multi-level class you can expect to move through a series of sun salutations and strengthening poses during a fun flow, then reward yourself with a calming savasana. Heated Ambu Flow classes are 90-95°F.

Ambu Basic Flow

All levels are welcome.
A more fundamental version of our classic Ambu Flow class. Students will be guided through a seamless series of postures, coordinating movement with breath. A variety of modifications will be offered to provide an accessible and enjoyable experience for all levels.

Ambu Morning Flow

All levels are welcome.
For our early rising yogis, we have created a special morning class. Join us for a lighter version of our regular Ambu Flow. Non-heated and comfortable for all levels.

Breathe and Be

All levels are welcome.
During this one hour class, we will slow down to focus on pranayama yogic breathing and meditation techniques. Both practices can be applied on the mat and in our everyday lives to release stress, increase energy, and improve mental clarity and physical health. We will end with a guided Yoga Nidra (sleep meditation) or another form of restful meditation.

All levels are welcome.
This class focuses on the basic elements of the yoga practice including alignment, breath, and technique. Whether you're new to yoga or a more seasoned student, this class will take you back to the fundamentals. You’ll also learn how to use props and make modifications to find more comfort and confidence in your practice.

Gentle Yoga

All levels welcome, recommended for beginners.
Experience ease with soft movement and deep stretches. A great way to complement other physical activity like tennis, golf, running, or biking.

Yin Restore

All levels welcome, recommended for beginners.
Find greater flexibility, focus, and calm through deep stretching and release. Holding poses for longer periods of time releases muscle tension, improves mental clarity, and helps develop a stronger mind-body connection.

Hatha Level 1

All levels welcome, recommended for beginners.
This class is designed to teach students how to achieve proper alignment in the poses. We will explore and delve deeper into the alignment process with the use of props, helping participants build a solid foundation for their yoga practice.

Hot Yoga

All levels welcome, recommended for beginners who enjoy heat.
This class is inspired by the Bikram Method, but shortened to 60 minutes. Includes all 26 postures and two breathing exercises and is taught at 95-100°F. Work hard, or ease your way into the practice.

Hot Hatha

All levels welcome, recommended for beginners who enjoy heat.
Take the time to experience basic poses and their modifications in your body. We'll focus on alignment, with the help of props when necessary, and draw awareness to our breath in a warm setting. This is a pose to pose class and is offered seasonally as a substitute for Hot Yoga.

Hot Jam

Some yoga experience recommended, this is a faster paced class.
Our signature Heated Ambu Flow with a different upbeat soundtrack each week. This class is powerful and fun - expect to sweat and work hard. The perfect way to challenge yourself while staying playful.

Mat Pilates

All levels are welcome.
This mat pilates class focuses on precise movements originating from the center, or core, of your body, developing strength, stamina, flexibility and balance. Modifications and variations are offered to suit each individual student's needs.

Stretch and Restore

All levels are welcome.
Treat your body to an hour of pure bliss in our peaceful studio space. Your instructor will guide you through a series of gentle stretches designed to improve flexibility, reduce stress and anxiety, and relieve pain. Props will also be incorporated to facilitate deeper, passive stretching while you relax, breathe, and enjoy the many benefits of restorative yoga. Open to all levels, this class is an excellent choice for athletes.

All levels welcome/ recommended for beginners.

SUP Yoga classes leave from the Adventure Sea Kayak & SUP office at 'Tween Waters (15951 Captiva Dr., Captiva, FL 33924, Click here for google map).

New Moon Meditations

All levels welcome, this is not a movement class.
The new moon symbolizes growth, transformation, and new beginnings, and every month it offers us an opportunity to set intentions for the coming days, while leaving behind what no longer serves us. Join us for our monthly guided meditation under the new moon – as the sun sets, together we will create space to move forward with the projects and aspirations that make us feel alive.

Because it is important to us to care for our island home and the creatures we share it with, we donate all proceeds from our new moon meditations to support the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation's Sea Turtle Research Program. This year, we have a very generous matching donor who has promised to double our impact. That means every dollar you donate will do twice as much good for the turtles.

Suggested donation $10-15. Please bring a towel or blanket to sit on. Public parking is available. Meet at Alison Hagerup Beach Park, 14790 Captiva Dr., Captiva, FL. This beach is labeled "South Beach" or Location #30 on South Seas resort maps. In case of inclement weather, the meditation will be held in our studio.

If you are unable to attend our New Moon Meditation but still want to support SCCF's Sea Turtle Research Program, we gladly accept donations, and they will all be matched!
